The Future of No Comply Skateboard Mag
I was holding on to these two photos for the purpose of using them in the first print issue of No Comply Skateboard Mag. In January of 2013, the mag will be 2 years old. I really wanted to release the first print issue of the mag in January in conjunction with the 2 Year Anniversary. But, over the last few weeks I have been doing a lot of thinking. I have unfortunately, come to the conclusion at this point, that I am not going to be doing a print issue of the mag. At least, not for now. This doesn’t mean that it is totally out of the equation. It just means that, based on where I have placed my priorities in life at the present moment, it just doesn’t make the list. I have decided to focus my efforts (After Family, Friends, and Work) on continuing to evolve the website, shooting more photos, learning how to shoot video, and on growing my new apparel and accessories brand No Comply.
That being said, I am stoked more and more every day on how the mag has grown and on all of the rad people that I have met (and reconnected with) over the past two years as a result. It’s also really cool to hear all of the positive feedback from people that I meet. That means a lot! Thank you. Anyway, I hope everyone continues to enjoy the mag. Cheers! -Nicks

Vans Warped Tour 2012 – St. Pete | Mini-Ramp Contest
Maybe I’m just getting old, but all of the bands at the 2012 Vans Warped Tour in St. Pete yesterday sounded the same. Someone at one point told me that it was the same band that had played a four hour set, and I believed him. Anyway, at least the skating was ripping. Here is a little sample of the shredding that went down on this hot, July afternoon in St. Pete, Florida. – Nicks

Gullwing Truck Co. – A Weekend in Florida
The Gullwing Trucks crew was in town a few weeks ago for the King of Crete at Orlando Skatepark. Looks like Shaun Ross and Andrew Mercado stayed for a few days and shredded with a bunch of the Demon Seed crew and other local rippers.
