Unfortunately, the “Legends” Vert Session at the 2013 Tampa Pro turned out to be only about an hour of practice between storms. It was a hell of a lot of fun while it lasted though! I managed to get a few good shots, and a pretty heated bowl session resulted because of the rain. Make sure to tune into the live web-cast at 2 p.m. EST HERE. – Nicks

Gary Swenson (Co-Owner & Co-Founder) of Freshly Squeezedgrew up just a couple hours north of St. Petersburg in Brooksville, FL. You could have found him skating the old Island Skatepark in Mazaryktown any day of the week. His passion for skateboarding eventually led to a passion for streetwear and sneakers. So Gary packed up and moved to southern California, where he completely immersed himself right in the middle of the streetwear and sneaker industry, living and breathing it for over a decade. California is also where Gary met his fiance Victoria Phipps (Co-Owner, Co-Founder, and Backbone of the operation). Recently, Gary and Victoria moved back to Florida and decided it was time to do their own thing.
Freshly Squeezed is a streetwear shop whose mission is simple…to consistently bring the newest and freshest gear to St. Petersburg. Whether it is a bigger, more well-known brand, or a small, local, or up-and-coming brand, Gary & Victoria’s passion for all of them is just the same. Not only do they live it, work it, and wear it, but they also have personal relationships with most of the lines that they carry. With their 10 + years of experience and personable and professional attitudes, you will leave not only happy and looking fresh, but educated as well. Gary & Victoria meet once a week for strategy meetings and their current future plans for Freshly Squeezed are to continue to grow and to develop their own line. So, please do yourself a favor and get over to Freshly Squeezed, chat with Gary and/ or Victoria, and get yourself (or someone else) tightened up with some “fresh” new gear.
Freshly Squeezed’s current lines include: HUF, FUCT, The Hundreds, Lime Almost Lemon, CBNC, So It Seems, and No Comply Skateboard Mag.

Last Saturday evening, Midtown Skatepark hosted their 3rd Annual Midtown Massacre! Best Trick and Costume Contest. They held the Best Trick Contest on their brand new mini-ramp…and it looks like things got a little heated!
I was holding on to these two photos for the purpose of using them in the first print issue of No Comply Skateboard Mag. In January of 2013, the mag will be 2 years old. I really wanted to release the first print issue of the mag in January in conjunction with the 2 Year Anniversary. But, over the last few weeks I have been doing a lot of thinking. I have unfortunately, come to the conclusion at this point, that I am not going to be doing a print issue of the mag. At least, not for now. This doesn’t mean that it is totally out of the equation. It just means that, based on where I have placed my priorities in life at the present moment, it just doesn’t make the list. I have decided to focus my efforts (After Family, Friends, and Work) on continuing to evolve the website, shooting more photos, learning how to shoot video, and on growing my new apparel and accessories brand No Comply.
That being said, I am stoked more and more every day on how the mag has grown and on all of the rad people that I have met (and reconnected with) over the past two years as a result. It’s also really cool to hear all of the positive feedback from people that I meet. That means a lot! Thank you. Anyway, I hope everyone continues to enjoy the mag. Cheers! -Nicks
